Math Teacher Intern - Contractor
Empowered Math aims to attract and retain experienced and certified math educators to fill teacher vacancies at public, charter and private schools in the Kansas City metro area. Our founding principle is that the teacher is the driving force of student success, hence schools should focus resources on premier educators . The Job
Collaborate to develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum
Utilize different teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress
Create and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding
Maintain accurate records of students' grades and attendance
Communicate with families regarding students' academic performance
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum development
Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in mathematics education
The Qualifications
A daily available time block of at least two consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00
Student-focused approach to learning, which includes a desire to build positive relationships that are characterized by mutual respect and trust
Desire to obtain a teaching certification

Coteaching model
The Pay
$25-40 per hour (Based on college credits, certification, and experience)
Instructional time is multiplied by 1.5 to calculate hours worked to account for the administrative aspects of teaching such as planning, family contact, grading, etc.
